On Friday October 4th, employees at Ventura Investment Co. got to raise their hammers and participate in a Build Day for Habitat for Humanity, a global non-profit housing organization that helps families in need of affordable housing.

Working side by side with Habitat for Humanity contractors, staff members from Ventura Investment Co. spent the day volunteering at the build site of the 2521 Barry Street project in Camarillo. This project is the construction of two single family homes that will be restricted and maintained as affordable housing for the next 55 years. Each home will consist of two stories and are estimated to be roughly 1400-1500 square feet. The volunteers assisted in various different tasks on site and were proud to be actively involved with the construction of the garage structure, along with other projects throughout the day.

Senior Asset Manager, Jennifer O’Neal said, “The Build Day with Habitat for Humanity is one of my favorite volunteer events that we participate in. It is a great way to spend time with co-workers in a fun environment, all while giving back to the community!”

Ventura Investment Co., a Camarillo-based real estate investment firm, is actively involved with community outreach and has donated to over 60 local non-profit organizations in the area and has leaders in appointed government positions.
