On Friday, November 8th, Ventura Investment Co. presented a donation of $5,000.00 to the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo. This donation was given on behalf of Ventura Investment Co.’s Camarillo Apartment Communities – Villa Campana, Ivy at Pickwick Park, & Villas at the Park. The Camarillo communities of Ventura Investment Co. will donate $25,000 over a 5 year period to go towards the expansion and remodel of the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo.
All three property managers, Brent Bailey of Villa Campana, Sarah Taylor of Ivy at Pickwick Park and Alejandro Lopez of Villas at the Park were there to present the check to the children and the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club, Roberto Martinez. Ventura Investment Co.’s Senior Asset Manager Jennifer O’Neal and Marketing & Events Coordinator Hillary Packard were also there to show their support.
This donation will help towards the ‘Expanding Possibilities’ club expansion of the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, which has seen a 236% expansion in membership growth over the last 7 years and currently services up to 400 children a day. The 6500 sq ft addition will aim to provide more teen and middle school youth programming, better serve the youth with special needs and provide more education and opportunity in technology and sciences.
Ventura Investment Co. is extremely excited to be a contributor to this expansion and is always looking for opportunities to give back to the community!
Working side by side with Habitat for Humanity contractors, staff members from Ventura Investment Co. spent the day volunteering at the build site of the 2521 Barry Street project in Camarillo. This project is the construction of two single family homes that will be restricted and maintained as affordable housing for the next 55 years. Each home will consist of two stories and are estimated to be roughly 1400-1500 square feet. The volunteers assisted in various different tasks on site and were proud to be actively involved with the construction of the garage structure, along with other projects throughout the day.
Senior Asset Manager, Jennifer O’Neal said, “The Build Day with Habitat for Humanity is one of my favorite volunteer events that we participate in. It is a great way to spend time with co-workers in a fun environment, all while giving back to the community!”
